Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The room upgrade was incredible, spacious, clean, and very comfortable, offering a nice view of the swimming pool. The service, despite some cultural differences, was never unpleasant, and the staff were so helpful and friendly, even arranging Angkor tours at a reasonable price. The location, though not ideal for some, was great for me as I prefer a quieter setting away from the hustle and bustle. The dining experience was very good with a lovely room overlooking the pool and a decent selection of breakfast options. The facilities were top-notch, making my time there truly enjoyable.
I found the hotel to be a mixed experience. The rooms, though lovely, clean, spacious, and well-equipped with complimentary tea, coffee, and water, were a standout. However, the initial room I was in was really dusty and dirty, requiring me to request a move to a better room. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to assist with booking Angkor tour guides and tuk-tuks, making the stay more convenient. The location was a bit of a mixed bag, being close to the street, which could be noisy at times, yet also providing easy access to the Angkor ticket center and the temples. The facilities were generally good, but a minor letdown in cleanliness was observed.
The hotel room had everything required including water, tea, and coffee facilities, but the key card was needed to turn on the electricity, leading to the fridge turning off and items melting each time I left. The room was also dirty with dead bugs on the floor, very dusty, and had a strong pesticide smell. Despite this, it was cool, clean, and very comfortable overall.
My stay at Golden Mango was a mix of good and not-so-great experiences. The rooms were comfortable and clean but had a bad smell the first night. The friendly service and relaxing atmosphere made up for some of the issues. The location was ideal for those looking to be away from the hustle and bustle but not great for exploring the main town easily.
The hotel provides more than expected for a pleasant stay, with lovely, clean, spacious rooms and a great addition of a pool. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful, offering convenient rides to the town center. The location is a bit off but offers a peaceful setting away from the noise, with the locals market close by. The dining experience includes some local dishes but falls short on certain items, and the facilities are well-equipped.
